Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Katsuyari Monoriku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentin King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsuyari Monoriku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quentin King! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monoriku throws a head kick that misses. King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. King looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Monoriku is defending against the submission attempts here by King.
Monoriku tries to kick King off but King keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. King seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Monoriku to regain full guard. Monoriku is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Monoriku is looking for a triangle but King pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monoriku tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King trying to control the position from guard on top but Monoriku is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Monoriku sprawls well. Monoriku wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet. King feints and as Monoriku raises his hands in defense, King changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Monoriku is trying to control the position from the bottom.
King is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Monoriku is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Monoriku has escaped and now he's on top! King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Monoriku has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Monoriku trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Monoriku loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Monoriku with a flurry of punches that miss. King throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Monoriku throwing strikes but missing. King will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King keeping moving, preventing Monoriku from controlling successfully. King wants to sweep here but Monoriku controlling him for the moment. King had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Monoriku defends it easily. Monoriku got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Monoriku has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Monoriku trying to control but King is working from the bottom. Monoriku missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King is trying to control the position but Monoriku postures up. King keeping moving, preventing Monoriku from controlling successfully. King is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Monoriku defends well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Monoriku missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quentin King dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
King swats away the attempt to clinch by Monoriku. The fight stays on the outside here - Monoriku looks like he's thinking about clinching though. King blocks a head kick by Monoriku.
Monoriku tries to close the distance and clinch but King swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Monoriku scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Monoriku pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Monoriku throws a head kick that King semi-blocks.
It looks like Quentin King has been cut. Monoriku connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Monoriku throws a series of strikes that have King backpedaling.
King takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Monoriku's waist but Monoriku gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monoriku tries to clinch up. Monoriku scores with a spinning back kick! King is breathing heavily. King takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Monoriku lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
King is rocked! Monoriku is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.
King walks into a straight right hand from Monoriku. King is still on wobbly legs! Can Monoriku finish him?
That has opened up Quentin King's cut even more. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Monoriku! This one is all over!
