Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Levi Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gabriel Zing! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz connects with a right hand. Zing shakes it off. Zing avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Diaz tries to clinch up. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zing swats him away and circles back towards the center. The fighters circling - Diaz throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Diaz is looking to clinch but Zing is avoiding it.
Zing looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diaz is fending him off so far but Zing persists. Nope, Diaz circles away and we're back to standing. Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Zing is pushing Diaz's head away, looking to escape. Diaz manages to hold on to the position though. Diaz taking a break here but Zing is having none of it and regains half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Ground and pound from Diaz. Diaz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zing defends it well. Diaz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Zing defending well though. Still in half guard, Diaz seems content to control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Diaz wants to pass the guard but Zing is defending well. Diaz stands up out of the half guard. Diaz tries to clinch but Zing is having none of it. Zing circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zing tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No luck for Zing with that takedown attempt. Levi Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Zing. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zing swats him away and circles back towards the center. Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Zing shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Diaz moves into the clinch. Diaz has a couple of punches blocked by Zing.

Zing is working for takedown but Diaz is calmly controlling the position for now. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Diaz is trying to force a seperation but Zing has the dominant position.

Zing is trying to drag Diaz to the mat but Diaz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Diaz makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Diaz softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Diaz has a couple of punches blocked by Zing.
Diaz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Levi Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Zing is trying to stand back up but Diaz is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz throwing shots but Zing is blocking nicely. Diaz is keen to just control but Zing is a slippery customer. Zing looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Zing misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Zing. Zing drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Zing connects with a couple of short punches. Diaz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Zing with a flurry of punches that miss. Diaz has his feet on Zing's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zing landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Zing is breathing heavily. Zing throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Zing is nestled in close to Diaz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Diaz tries to kick Zing off but Zing keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is pressing down on Zing's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Diaz wants to get back to his feet but Zing is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zing defends well. Zing working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Diaz's head. Zing postures up.
Zing content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Zing's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Zing lands a couple of elbows. Diaz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zing is controlling him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Diaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Right on cue, Zing cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diaz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Gabriel Zing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Diaz clobbers Zing with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Zing will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Diaz missing with a left hand there. Zing was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Diaz wants to clinch up but Zing keeps it at a distance. Diaz stuffs the takedown. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Zing swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz punishes Zing's body with a nice straight punch. Zing shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Zing's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Levi Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Zing. Diaz tries to clinch but Zing moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz doesn't manage to clinch there - Zing circles away.

He's got his arms around Diaz's waist but Diaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zing off to one side. Diaz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zing counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Zing stops Diaz from getting back to his feet.

Zing wants to advance to full mount but Diaz doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Zing looking to pass the guard. Gabriel Zing has got the better of the ground game so far. Zing with a flurry of punches that miss. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Zing cracks Diaz with a solid left hand. Zing has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zing won't allow Diaz to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Diaz tries to clinch but Zing moves out of range. Zing scores a takedown into full mount! Diaz gets back to half guard. Zing not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Diaz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Diaz wants to stand up but Zing is controlling him. Diaz is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Zing counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Zing. Zing lands a couple of elbows. Zing is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Zing is looking to work some ground and pound but Diaz has wrist control. Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zing can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Zing landing some decent shots from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zing in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Zing lands a couple of elbows. Diaz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zing walks into a jab. Diaz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zing momentarily.
Zing bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Zing connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Diaz some visible discomfort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diaz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Zing.
Diaz tries to improve position but can't. Diaz throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
And that's the end of the fight! Gabriel Zing comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Zing has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
