Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcos Jose Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nikita Kotoski! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gracie.
Gracie throws a low kick but Kotoski avoids it. Gracie throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Nikita Kotoski has been cut. Kotoski forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches. Gracie tries to land a knee to the head but Kotoski blocks with his arms.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kotoski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gracie keeping full guard, as Kotoski tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kotoski looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is pulling down on Kotoski's head. It's preventing any offense from Kotoski, at least for the moment. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kotoski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kotoski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kotoski forces his way into half guard. Kotoski has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kotoski seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Gracie is holding on tight.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gracie passes Kotoski's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kotoski gets back to full guard.
Kotoski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kotoski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.
Kotoski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kotoski passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to control Kotoski's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted? Kotoski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gracie is just riding it out for now. Kotoski eventually gives up the hold. Kotoski works his way into side control. Kotoski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kotoski looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kotoski goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kotoski but great work by Gracie. Kotoski is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kotoski tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range. Kotoski wants to clinch. Gracie misses with a head kick.

Oh but Kotoski is tightening it up a little... Gracie has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Gracie reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gracie taps out! nice BJJ there by Kotoski!
