Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Exley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teddy Exley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Daley! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Exley is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Exley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Daley did well to prevent Exley getting side control. Daley is trying to control but can't.
Exley is working for a submission of some sort.
Daley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Exley. Exley is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Daley reverses the position - he's now on top in Exley's guard. Daley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Exley doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Daley is looking to work some ground and pound but Exley has wrist control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Daley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Exley avoids a series of strikes thrown by Daley.
Daley lands a heavy elbow. Exley throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Exley is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daley looking to ground and pound but Exley is blocking nicely. Daley in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Daley landing strikes from the mount. Daley throwing strikes but Exley bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Daley lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Exley manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Exley throws some wild stikes that Daley manages to avoid easily.
Exley controlling from mount. Exley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Daley for as long as he can get away with. Daley is squirming around, avoiding Exley's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Exley avoids the attempt from Daley to control. Daley looks gassed! Exley thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Exley jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Daley is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Daley and Exley has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Daley is not content to let Exley control the position. Exley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Daley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Daley defending against the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Daley dominated that round. That's time! Exley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Daley keeps the fight on the outside. Daley fails with the takedown and Exley counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Exley. Exley tries to throw a body punch but Daley avoids it by throwing Exley back against the cage. Daley is working for takedown but Exley is calmly controlling the position for now. Daley drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Teddy Exley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Daley. Exley gets underhooks to prevent Daley's takedown attempt.

Exley tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Exley is working Daley over against the cage. Exley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Daley blocks a body shot from Exley. Exley gets control of Daley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Exley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Daley is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Exley looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Exley tries to land a sweep but no joy. Exley looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Daley is defending well. Exley quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Daley has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Exley celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
