The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanegan closes the distance and clinches.
Sanchez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hanegan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Hanegan has had enough of the clinch but Sanchez keeps him there for the moment.
Hanegan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sanchez.

Hanegan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sanchez is working away from the top position though.

Hanegan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sanchez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hanegan is proving hard to escape from.
Hanegan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hanegan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sanchez is working for takedown but Hanegan is calmly controlling the position for now.
Sanchez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hanegan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
