The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawlins lands a nice looking body shot.
Rawlins shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A slow jab from Johnson misses its intended target.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
Johnson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rawlins shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
Jack Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Rawlins moved out of range nicely.
Rawlins looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Rawlins moves out of range.
Johnson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Rawlins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rawlins.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rawlins wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Rawlins controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rawlins tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet but Rawlins is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Johnson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rawlins is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Rawlins has managed to sneak the leg through.
Johnson is in trouble now - Rawlins has advanced to mount!

Rawlins working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Johnson is trying to stand up.
Rawlins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape.

Rawlins won't let Johnson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Rawlins looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Rawlins has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.

Rawlins is working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson frees his head quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rawlins trying to control but Johnson is having none of it.

Johnson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Rawlins with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Johnson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rawlins.

Johnson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Rawlins looking to isolate an arm here. Johnson doesn't see it coming and as Rawlins extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Rawlins!
