Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Howell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Bajaga - Moji drugovi as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raymond Williams! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howell misses with a wild combination.
A chopping leg kick lands by Howell. A jab from Howell does it's job there. Howell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Williams circles away quickly and effectively. Howell wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. Williams shoots for a takedown but Howell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Howell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams takes a body punch but keeps moving. Howell tries to clinch but Williams moves out of range. Howell lands with an uppercut that bounces Williams off the cage and back into rage. Howell wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance. A looping hook to the body misses from Howell. Williams does a little dance to reset his feet. Howell lands a nice shot to the body.
Howell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams shoots in but no luck this time. Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Josh Howell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Williams. Howell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Howell just misses with a punch to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Howell just misses with a punch to the body.
Josh Howell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Howell lands a head kick. Williams smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Williams avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Howell fails with an attempt to clinch.

Josh Howell dominated that round. That's time! Howell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Williams shoots in and bounces Howell off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard. Williams isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Howell stacks Williams on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Howell! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams is trying to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Williams's face as Howell controls the position. Williams is looking to regain half guard here but Howell keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howell decides to stand back up. Howell steps back and let's Williams get back to his feet. Howell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Raymond Williams has been cut. Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Howell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat. Howell throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Howell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Williams on the side of the head. Howell scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Howell scores with a nice head shot. Howell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Howell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Howell throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Howell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Williams to score an easy takedown into full guard. Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Howell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard. Williams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Howell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Williams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Howell has managed to get both his arms back between Williams's legs - danger averted. Howell looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Williams has his foot on Howell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howell works his way back into a safe position though. Williams looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Howell passes into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Howell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Williams. Howell tries to clinch there but Williams circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Howell which made him look bad. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Howell. Josh Howell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Howell tries to bum rush Williams with a series of wild strikes but Williams uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Williams stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Howell. Howell lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Howell stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet. Howell smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Howell fails to land with a series of punches.

And that's the end of the fight! Josh Howell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Howell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
