Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donald Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Baravski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Baravski's choice of entrance music: Punch Out. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donald Henson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igor Baravski! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baravski tries to clinch but Henson is having none of it. Henson just misses with a punch to the body.
Baravski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baravski lands a big head kick that sends Henson tumbling to the mat! Baravski takes a step backwards and waves Henson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Henson is rocked!
It looks like Donald Henson has been cut. Henson misses with a wild combination.
Baravski slips under a jab. Henson throws a hook but Baravski avoids it easily. Baravski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Henson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baravski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Baravski decides to stand up, so the ref orders Henson to his feet. A jab from Henson finds it's way through Baravski's defenses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Baravski tries to bum rush Henson with a series of wild strikes but Henson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Baravski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Henson is trying to defend but Baravski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baravski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Henson is not content to let Baravski control the position. Henson wants to sweep but Baravski has passed to side control! Baravski misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Baravski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Henson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Baravski tries to clinch up. Henson looks to throw the jab but Baravski is out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Baravski tries to clinch there but Henson circles away.
Henson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Henson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Baravski. Henson throws a body punch but Baravski moves out of range. Baravski fails with an attempt to clinch.
Henson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Baravski is looking to clinch. Henson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Henson swings for the body but Baravski moves out of range.
Henson throws an overhand right that lands on Baravski's shoulder, as Baravski tries to avoid the shot. Henson looks to score with a jab to the body but Baravski is just out of range. Henson lands a nice shot that snaps Baravski's head back.
Baravski falls off balance throwing a combination
and Henson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Baravski, right into the meat.
Henson is breathing heavily. Baravski shoots in and bounces Henson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Baravski works a leg free and moves into half guard. Baravski working over Henson with some ground and pound. Henson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Baravski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baravski stands up and beckons Henson to join him on the feet. Baravski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Henson. Henson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baravski fails in his attempt to clinch. Baravski throws a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henson misses with a shot to the body so Baravski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Baravski lands a couple of decent looking shots. Baravski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Baravski is in close to Henson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Henson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Baravski on the ground. Baravski gets to his feet - Henson follows without any prompting. Henson misses with a body punch
and Baravski counters with a shoot takedown. Henson fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Henson is working an open guard so Baravski takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Donald Henson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Baravski throws a quick inside leg kick. Henson misses with a hook. Baravski ducked under it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Igor Baravski dominated that round. The cut man is working on Donald Henson's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Baravski misses with a takedown attempt - Henson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Henson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Henson lands a jab-cross combination. Henson looks to score with a jab to the body but Baravski is just out of range. Baravski is looking to clinch. Henson throws a sloppy body shot
and Baravski counters with a nice kick to the body. Baravski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Baravski decides to stand and escape the position. An inside leg kick lands from Baravski. Baravski lands with a slapping head kick. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Baravski clinches up against the cage. Henson misses with some punches.
Baravski tries for a takedown. No joy.
Baravski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Baravski moves out of range of the strikes. Henson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Baravski counters with a solid body kick. Baravski throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Henson's head. Baravski cracks a nice hook into Henson's ribs. Henson swats away the attempt to clinch by Baravski. Henson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Henson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baravski throws a front kick that sends Henson stumbling back into the cage. Henson misses with a shot to the body and Baravski counters with a head kick. That will keep Henson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Henson misses with a body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Baravski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Baravski with a nice head shot there. Henson controls Baravski momentarily but Baravski frees himself. Henson looking for a sweep. Not yet Henson, not yet. Henson keeping moving, preventing Baravski from controlling successfully. Henson looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baravski content to stall in guard here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baravski scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Baravski walks into a jab. Henson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Baravski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Henson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Henson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Baravski throwing shots but missing, from side control. Baravski staying calm.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henson wants to control but Baravski postures up. Henson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baravski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Baravski decides to take the fight back to the feet. Henson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Baravski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Baravski tries to clinch up. Henson throws a big shot that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Igor Baravski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Donald Henson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
A shot to the body from Henson misses and Baravski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Henson's guard. Baravski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Baravski throwing strikes but missing. Baravski trying to control the position from guard on top but Henson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Henson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Baravski advances to half guard. Henson is looking for a sweep. Baravski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baravski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Henson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Baravski. Henson tries to get to full guard but Baravski has control of the leg. Baravski is looking to take a break and control but Henson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Baravski passes into side control, despite Henson's attempt to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Henson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Baravski wants to control but Henson is keeping him busy. Henson defending against the ground and pound. Henson is trying to improve his position. Baravski wants to control but Henson is keeping him busy. Baravski working the ground and pound from side control. Henson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Henson throws a strike but Baravski avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baravski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Baravski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Baravski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Baravski is adopting a defensive guard. Henson wants to stand and escape but instead Baravski has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Baravski stops Henson from standing up. Baravski wants to control from the top but Henson keeps moving. Baravski gets to his feet. Henson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Donald Henson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Henson lands a nice looking body shot.
Henson misses with a shot to the body and Baravski counters with a shoot takedown. Henson fights it but they end up in guard. Baravski trying to control the position from guard on top but Henson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Henson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Donald Henson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Igor Baravski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Henson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Igor Baravski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Baravski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
