The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malelei's corner calls for a 1-2. Malelei obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Nicolai Demikovic has been cut.
Nicolai Demikovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jeez, Nicolai Demikovic's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Demikovic walks straight into a right hand from Malelei - that's dropped him! Malelei jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Demikovic from any more punishment! Demikovic complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
