0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Hiller! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! SICK connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. SICK closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hiller is not content to let SICK control the position. Hiller stops SICK from passing to mount. SICK lands a few punches from side control. Hiller should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hiller wants to control but SICK postures up. Hiller is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Hiller wants to control but SICK postures up. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hiller has eaten all the pies! SICK working the ground and pound but Hiller is defending the strikes. Hiller controls the position for a moment. SICK in side control, throwing shots but Hiller defends.
That's one minute gone in the round. SICK stands up and beckons Hiller to his feet. SICK bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hiller works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like PZYMON SICK has been cut. Hiller fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with SICK, pushing him back against the cage. Hiller fails to pull guard.
SICK tries to pull guard but Hiller holds him up against the cage and eventually SICK drops back down to his feet.
SICK tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
SICK has clasped his hands together around Hiller's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. SICK wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hiller, who protects the arm well. Hiller takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hiller wants to control but SICK postures up. SICK is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hiller has escaped the position, nice work there. Hiller is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on SICK's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. SICK is breathing heavily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! SICK trying to pass the guard but Hiller defending well. Hiller is controlling SICK's trapped leg to prevent SICK from advancing to side control. Hiller trying to control here.
SICK thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hiller to regain full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. SICK trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hiller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. SICK doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hiller is tightening it up a little... SICK has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! SICK reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! SICK taps out! nice BJJ there by Hiller!
