The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laamanen throws the left hand but Aliyev avoids the punch easily.
Laamanen lands with a cross.
Laamanen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aliyev avoids the head kick by Laamanen.
Laamanen throws a lazy right hand but Aliyev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Laamanen needs to keep his hands up - Aliyev had a free shot at his head there.
Laamanen doesn't manage to clinch there - Aliyev circles away.
Aliyev just misses with a punch to the body.

Laamanen misses with an uppercut. Aliyev saw that one coming.
Laamanen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Reijo Laamanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aliyev throws a shot to the body.
Aliyev lands a really nice looking cross but Laamanen seems unphased.
Aliyev connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Laamanen's hands.
Aliyev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Laamanen scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Aliyev cracks a nice hook into Laamanen's ribs.
Laamanen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Aliyev lands a jab.
Laamanen connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Aliyev tumbling to the canvas! Laamanen pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Aliyev was done - good stoppage!
