Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darrian Ashoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Weeks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Weeks is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darrian Ashoka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Weeks! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weeks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ashoka throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A combination from Weeks does no damage. Ashoka staying out of range there. Ashoka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Weeks's waist but Weeks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ashoka off to one side. Ashoka tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Weeks was well out of range. Poor timing from Ashoka. Ashoka throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Weeks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ashoka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Weeks moves away. Weeks finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ashoka throws a right and a left that both miss. Weeks throws a combination that misses and Ashoka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Weeks won't be happy with that. Ashoka looks up at the clock and then as Weeks takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ashoka smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ashoka throws a strike aimed at the side of Weeks's head but Weeks avoids it well. Weeks pushes Ashoka away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ashoka gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Weeks misses with a combination
and Ashoka cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Weeks throws the left hand but Ashoka avoids the punch easily. Ashoka just misses with a punch to the body.
Ashoka dives in and grabs Weeks's left leg, looking for a takedown. Weeks pushes down on Ashoka's head and hops out. Ashoka shoots in and bounces Weeks off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ashoka prevents Weeks from getting back to his feet. Ashoka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Weeks works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Weeks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ashoka scoring with punches to the head and body. Ashoka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Weeks is keeping the position for now. Ashoka stops Weeks from standing up. Ashoka tries to free his leg and advance position but Weeks is retaining full guard. Weeks can't keep his opponent in guard - Ashoka advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Ashoka passes to full mount! Ashoka fails to take his opponent's back. Ashoka looking to finish with strikes here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ashoka has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Weeks's face.

Weeks tries to avoid it but Ashoka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Weeks to the ground. Weeks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Weeks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Weeks falls off balance throwing a combination
so Ashoka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Weeks wants to get back to his feet but Ashoka is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ashoka wants to control from the top but Weeks keeps moving. Ashoka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ashoka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Weeks works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Weeks keeping moving, preventing Ashoka from controlling successfully. Ashoka won't allow Weeks to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ashoka is pushing down on Weeks's leg trying to pass to half guard. Weeks is fighting to maintain full guard but Ashoka has managed to sneak the leg through. Ashoka is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ashoka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Weeks kicks off Ashoka and gets to his feet. Weeks throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ashoka counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Weeks! Ashoka looking to control but Weeks is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Weeks really wants to buck Ashoka off and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ashoka throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Poor strikes thrown by Ashoka there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
