Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Liam Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Spiller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liam Vegas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Spiller! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spiller loads up on a big right hand but Vegas slips the punch. Spiller slips a jab and a cross from Vegas.
A telegraphed right hand from Vegas misses the target. Spiller slips a jab from Vegas. Vegas slips a jab and a cross from Spiller.
Vegas shoots in for a double leg but Spiller sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Liam Vegas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vegas fails in his attempt to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Vegas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vegas wants to clinch. Spiller cracks Vegas with an open hand slap. Vegas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A slow jab from Vegas misses its intended target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vegas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spiller swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vegas takes a jab right on the kisser.
Spiller throws a lazy right hand but Vegas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Spiller scores with a shot to the body.

Spiller looks to land a left hand but Vegas moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spiller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Vegas tries to clinch but Spiller moves out of range. Spiller gets caught flat footed, as Vegas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Spiller controls Vegas momentarily but Vegas frees himself. Spiller has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Vegas with a flurry of punches that miss. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Spiller can do anything to dispel that myth. Vegas postures up.
Vegas throws a big right hand that misses. Vegas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vegas connects with a couple of short punches. Spiller working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vegas.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Vegas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Spiller misses with a looping right. Vegas takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegas shoots in but Spiller avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Vegas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spiller throws a jab when Vegas was well out of range. Vegas looks to land a left hand but Spiller moved out of range nicely. Vegas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spiller paws at him with a jab and circles away. Spiller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vegas sees it coming and avoids it easily. A jab from Vegas misses. Spiller misses with a wild combination.
Vegas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Spiller. Good shot there by Spiller. Vegas avoids the body shot from Spiller.

Spiller might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Vegas moves away from the strike by Spiller. Vegas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Spiller breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vegas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spiller circles away. Spiller scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Spiller misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vegas moves out of range of the strikes. Nice straight punches there by Spiller. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Spiller. Spiller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Spiller showed some decent athleticism there. Vegas wants to get back to his feet.
Vegas is breathing heavily. Spiller looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Spiller trying to pass the guard but Vegas defending well. Spiller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vegas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vegas is refusing to be controlled, as Spiller sits in half guard. Vegas tries to kick Spiller off but Spiller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Spiller trying to pass the guard but Vegas defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spiller winds up and cracks Vegas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vegas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Spiller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vegas. Vegas on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Spiller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Vegas! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spiller controlling the pace for now. I looks like Spiller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vegas tries to clinch up and Spiller counters with a one-two to the body. Vegas darts in trying to clinch enabling Spiller to counter with a crisp jab. Vegas darts in trying to clinch and Spiller counters with a straight right hand. Spiller throws a hook but Vegas avoids it easily. Spiller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Spiller is looking to take a break and control but Vegas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Spiller wants to stand but Vegas is controlling his arm. Vegas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vegas is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vegas taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spiller is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Vegas is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Spiller trying to control the position but Vegas is working away. Spiller taking a breather here. Spiller wants to stand but Vegas has his arm trapped. Vegas taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Spiller stands up and we're back to a striking position. A left and a right from Spiller both land. Nice combination. Vegas moves out of range as Spiller strikes. Vegas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Spiller counters with a straight right hand. A cross from Spiller lands. Spiller misses with a looping left. Spiller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vegas.
Spiller connects with the punch. The fighters circle momentarily. Spiller darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Spiller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Vegas misses with a body punch
and Spiller counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Vegas is rocked! Vegas wants to clinch but Spiller slips to the side and Spiller makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Oh Vegas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Spiller lands a nice shot that snaps Vegas's head back.
Spiller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Spiller seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vegas seems to have got his legs back now. Vegas is trying to stand up here but Spiller is controlling him well. Spiller tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vegas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Vegas has one foot on Spiller's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Spiller connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Spiller has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Spiller lands a two punch combo.
Spiller has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Spiller connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vegas's hands. Spiller lands a jab to Vegas's midsection. Spiller tests Vegas's chin there with a solid looking shot. Spiller scores with a hook to the body. Vegas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Spiller scores with a shot to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spiller bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vegas's head backwards. Vegas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Spiller throws out the jab. A big left from Spiller misses. Vegas is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Spiller's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Spiller looks to throw the jab but Vegas is out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Spiller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Liam Vegas's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Vegas tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Spiller counter with a right hand. Vegas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Vegas looks to land a strike but Spiller avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Spiller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vegas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vegas with a flurry of punches that miss. Spiller is trying to control the position but Vegas postures up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Vegas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spiller is on top in guard.

Vegas tries to clinch and Spiller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vegas's guard. Vegas keeping moving, preventing Spiller from controlling successfully. Spiller wants to stand but Vegas has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Spiller looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spiller postures up and lands a big shot to Vegas's brow. Vegas kicks Spiller off and gets to his feet. Spiller connects with a right hand. Vegas shakes it off. Spiller drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Spiller just content to control the position. Vegas wants to get back to his feet but Spiller drags him back down.

Vegas looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Spiller lands a nice shot to the body.

Spiller getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Vegas wants to clinch but Spiller slips to the side and Spiller counters with a straight right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vegas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Vegas fails with the takedown and Spiller counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vegas is trying to stand back up but Spiller is controlling him
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Spiller is keen to just control but Vegas is a slippery customer. Spiller is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Vegas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Spiller working over Vegas with some ground and pound. Vegas looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vegas looks like he's trying to stand up.
Vegas is staying active underneath Spiller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that's the end of the fight! David Spiller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Spiller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
