Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Never Fight Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksander Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Never Fight Me!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksander Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelianenko looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Fight Me!
Fight Me keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Emelianenko lands a big elbow.
Emelianenko prevents Fight Me from getting the reversal.
BOOM! Emelianenko connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Fight Me flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Emelianenko tries to control but Fight Me wriggling away.

Emelianenko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fight Me looks a forlorn figure.
Fight Me wants to hold on but Emelianenko pushes him away.
Fight Me is working to get back to half guard.
Emelianenko tries to control but Fight Me wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fight Me really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Let's hope that Emelianenko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Despite being in the dominant position, Aleksander Emelianenko just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Emelianenko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fight Me is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Fight Me is not content to let Emelianenko control the position.
You can see the frustration on Fight Me's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Fight Me tries to buck Emelianenko off but Emelianenko is having none of it.
Fight Me gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but Fight Me shows good takedown defense.

Emelianenko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fight Me sprawls well initially but Emelianenko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Fight Me's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Fight Me lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Emelianenko covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Emelianenko just trying to survive but Fight Me is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Fight Me is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Emelianenko. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Fight Me is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Emelianenko is defending well though. Fight Me let's go of the attempt for now.
Emelianenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fight Me. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fight Me is really struggling to control Emelianenko but he's trying to hold on to the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fight Me really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Emelianenko.
Emelianenko staying busy and making it hard for Fight Me to control.
Fight Me will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Never Fight Me just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Fight Me wants to clinch up but Emelianenko keeps it at a distance.

Fight Me throws a right hand that Emelianenko ducks under and follows up with a left that Emelianenko also avoids with ease.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Fight Me gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Emelianenko to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fight Me is fighting to break Emelianenko's control of his arms but Emelianenko is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Fight Me is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Emelianenko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Emelianenko can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fight Me has one foot on Emelianenko's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Fight Me's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Fight Me counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Emelianenko's guard now.

Fight Me gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Emelianenko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fight Me did well to prevent Emelianenko getting side control.

Fight Me is staying active underneath Emelianenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Fight Me is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Fight Me counters with a three punch combo that has Emelianenko backing up. Emelianenko nods at Fight Me to acknowledge the strikes.
Never Fight Me has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Emelianenko.
Fight Me ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Emelianenko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Emelianenko lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Emelianenko looking to sit in guard and control but Fight Me gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Never Fight Me.
I think Fight Me has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
