Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tod Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slice circles away quickly and effectively.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slice tries to stand and escape but Ruiz is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Slice is trying to work for a kimura but Ruiz is defending well.

Ruiz rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Slice moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ruiz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Slice content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Slice is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ruiz is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Slice drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slice jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Slice, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
