Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Barry McLean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wammo Blammo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blammo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McLean can pounce on him.
McLean feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Blammo's calf.
McLean throws a head kick that Blammo semi-blocks.
McLean throws a head kick that half lands.
McLean lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Blammo backs up against the cage.
Barry McLean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McLean moves out of range of the strikes.
McLean fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blammo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Blammo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McLean throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Blammo's head.

McLean scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blammo doesn't seem bothered though.
McLean feints and then cracks Blammo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blammo down.
McLean goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
McLean fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blammo.

McLean dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McLean moves in looking to clinch but Blammo pushes him off.
Blammo keeps the fight on the outside.
McLean wants to clinch up but Blammo keeps it at a distance.

Blammo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blammo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Blammo is on the wrong end of a nice combination from McLean.
Blammo has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McLean.

Blammo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Blammo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

McLean works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

McLean throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Blammo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McLean wants to clinch.
McLean ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McLean lands with a good body shot.
McLean connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McLean lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Blammo takes one to the chin there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McLean stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McLean is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Blammo can do to turn this around?
McLean turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Blammo is rocked!
McLean clobbers Blammo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Blammo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Barry McLean is winning the standup battle so far.
McLean scores with a crisp jab that stopped Blammo in his tracks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Blammo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McLean.
