Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taka Yoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrel Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Highway to Hell. Taka Yoshi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taka Yoshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyrel Sackett! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yoshi moves out of range of the strikes. No joy there for Yoshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sackett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yoshi tries to avoid it but Sackett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yoshi to the ground. Yoshi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Yoshi throws a push kick but Sackett slaps the foot to one side. Sackett lands a head shot.
It looks like Taka Yoshi has been cut. Sackett is looking to clinch but Yoshi is avoiding it.
Yoshi works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Sackett connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. This has been an exciting period of action! Sackett misses with a leg kick. Sackett blocks a jab. Sackett gets a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Yoshi wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sackett throwing shots but Yoshi is blocking nicely. Yoshi keeping hold of Sackett's head, controlling as best he can. Yoshi wants to improve his position but Sackett is controlling well.
Sackett wants to stand up but Yoshi is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yoshi is not content to let Sackett control the position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yoshi scores with a push kick. Sackett misses with an attempted mid kick.
Yoshi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sackett's hands. Sackett throws a leg kick but Yoshi sees it coming and moves out of range. Yoshi looks for the body kick but Sackett saw that one coming. Yoshi misses with a kick to the body.
Yoshi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sackett throws a hook but Yoshi blocks it. Yoshi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sackett takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Yoshi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Yoshi misses with the combination.
Sackett takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sackett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sackett uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yoshi. Yoshi misses with an attempted mid kick.
Sackett tries to clinch up but Yoshi circles away and keeps his distance. No luck for Sackett with that takedown attempt. Yoshi cracks the inside of Sackett's front leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A decent looking body kick lands there for Yoshi. Sackett misses the jab. A slow jab from Sackett misses its intended target. Sackett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Yoshi scores with a kick to the body.
Sackett looks gassed! Sackett moves out of range as Yoshi strikes. Yoshi misses with a head kick.
Sackett is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sackett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Yoshi was well out of range. Poor timing from Sackett. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Yoshi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A chopping leg kick lands by Yoshi. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Taka Yoshi will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Taka Yoshi's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Yoshi goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Yoshi moves out of range of the strikes. Yoshi looks for the body kick but Sackett saw that one coming. Taka Yoshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick misses from Yoshi. A head kick misses from Yoshi. Sackett pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Yoshi throws a quick inside leg kick. Yoshi scores with a shot to the body.
Sackett tries to clinch but Yoshi moves out of range. Yoshi fails with the takedown and Sackett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Yoshi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Sackett. Sackett tries to clinch there but Yoshi circles away.
Sackett pivots, looking for a leg kick but Yoshi is out of range and Sackett settles back down. A looping hook to the body misses from Yoshi. Sackett does a little dance to reset his feet. Sackett ducks right into an uppercut from Yoshi. Taka Yoshi is winning the standup battle so far. Sackett throws a right hand that Yoshi ducks under and follows up with a left that Yoshi also avoids with ease. Yoshi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sackett. The crowd cheers as Sackett lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yoshi doesn't seem phased though. Sackett shoots in and bounces Yoshi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yoshi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Yoshi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sackett missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sackett throwing strikes but missing. Yoshi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sackett slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yoshi pushes Sackett off and gets back to his feet.
Sackett attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Sackett has taken the fight to the clinch.
Yoshi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sackett breaks the clinch.
Yoshi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sackett moves in looking to clinch but Yoshi pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yoshi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sackett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yoshi moves away. Yoshi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sackett. Sackett is looking to clinch. Yoshi throws a head kick that misses and Sackett counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Yoshi drives through with a takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sackett looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Sackett manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tyrel Sackett will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Taka Yoshi's cut. That's time! Yoshi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Yoshi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sackett with a body punch. A glancing blow. Yoshi scores a takedown into full mount! Yoshi wants to control the pace but Sackett is squirming around nicely. Sackett really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Yoshi trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yoshi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Yoshi throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yoshi wants to control the pace but Sackett is squirming around nicely. Yoshi dominating with strikes here. Sackett tries to hold on but Yoshi postures up. Yoshi can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sackett is looking to escape. Yoshi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sackett is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Taka Yoshi just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sackett misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sackett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yoshi manages to avoid it. Yoshi throws a series of punches but Sackett avoids them all with ease. A leg kick checked by Sackett. Yoshi scoring well with a low kick there.
Yoshi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Yoshi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sackett keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Yoshi. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yoshi throws a solid leg kick but Sackett takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Yoshi. Sackett moves into range and clinches up with Yoshi.
And that's the end of the fight! Taka Yoshi showed his dominance in that final round. I think Yoshi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
