Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincent Contreras!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeuchi lands with a good body shot.
Takeuchi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Contreras is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Contreras is working for takedown but Takeuchi is calmly controlling the position for now.
Takeuchi pulls guard successfully.
Takeuchi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takeuchi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Contreras is aware though and is defending well.
Takeuchi is trying to keep Contreras in close.

Contreras is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Takeuchi defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Contreras wants to work for an arm triangle but Takeuchi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Takeuchi is trying to get back to full guard.
Contreras is looking for a kimura but Takeuchi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Contreras to get the leverage.

Takeuchi makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Contreras is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Contreras misses with a takedown attempt - Takeuchi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Takeuchi has Contreras up against the cage in a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Contreras fails to land.
Takeuchi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Contreras is trying to keep an underhook but Takeuchi manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Takeuchi works his way into full mount!
Takeuchi content just to control the position here.
Takeuchi manages to capitalize on a mistake by Contreras to take his back!

Contreras rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Takeuchi moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Contreras.

Contreras tries to bench press Takeuchi off him but Takeuchi keeps the position.
Contreras is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Takeuchi is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Takeuchi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Contreras is desperately trying to improve his position but Takeuchi has a good base and remains in mount.
Takeuchi controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Takeuchi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Takeuchi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Takeuchi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Contreras circles away from the clinch attempt.
Takeuchi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Contreras pinned against the cage. Contreras gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Takeuchi fails with the takedown.
Contreras moves into the clinch successfully.
Contreras is breathing heavily.

Takeuchi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Contreras wants to clinch up but Takeuchi keeps it at a distance.

Takeuchi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Contreras drops back, looking for a kneebar! Takeuchi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Takeuchi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Takeuchi!

Takeuchi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Contreras keeps working.
Contreras is trying to improve his position.
Takeuchi has hold of Contreras's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Contreras tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Takeuchi cranks the arm and Contreras screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Contreras, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
