Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Por Manduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trainius Reckus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trainius Reckus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reckus shoots in for a double leg but Manduk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Manduk thuds a left hand into Reckus's body. Reckus closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Manduk to the mat! Manduk manages to get full guard. Reckus working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reckus passes easily into side control. Nice work. Reckus is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manduk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Reckus swings around for an armbar but Manduk sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Reckus's guard. Reckus is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reckus looks gassed! Manduk trying to control but Reckus is working from the bottom. Reckus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manduk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Manduk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manduk stands up from guard. Let's bang! Manduk lands a glancing blow to the side of Reckus's head. Manduk throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Reckus is rocked! Manduk throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Reckus is still on wobbly legs! Can Manduk finish him? Manduk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Manduk seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Reckus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Reckus slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Manduk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reckus on the ground. Reckus is looking for a triangle here but Manduk uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Manduk tries to stand but Reckus is controlling his head. Reckus is looking to reverse the position. Manduk tries to stand but Reckus is controlling his head. Reckus manages to get back to half guard. Manduk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Reckus tries to roll over but Manduk keeps him under control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Manduk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reckus. Reckus with a lazy takedown attempt and Manduk counters with a nice double leg into guard. Manduk preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reckus lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Manduk! Manduk is bucking up trying to escape but Reckus cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Reckus with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reckus looking to secure an arm triangle but Manduk defends it well. Reckus is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Manduk has managed to escape the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reckus with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Manduk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Manduk throws a right and a left that Reckus avoids nicely. A lazy left from Manduk finds it's target. Trainius Reckus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Manduk moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Manduk!
Manduk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reckus fails with the takedown and Manduk counters with a left and a right that stings Reckus. Reckus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Manduk wants to control but Reckus postures up. Manduk is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Reckus is controlling him well. Reckus is looking to take a break and control but Manduk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reckus creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Manduk sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Manduk is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Reckus has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Manduk throws a right and a left that Reckus avoids nicely. Reckus drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Reckus is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Reckus wants to pass the guard but Manduk is keeping the position. Reckus pushing down on Manduk's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Reckus passes to full mount! Reckus is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Manduk has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Manduk!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reckus isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Manduk stacks Reckus on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Manduk! Reckus is looking to regain half guard here but Manduk keeps moving and retains side control. Manduk wants to control but Reckus is keeping him busy. Reckus tries to get back to half guard but can't. Reckus sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Manduk wants to stand up but Reckus is controlling the position.

Reckus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Manduk doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Manduk manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Reckus looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Manduk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Reckus pushes a forearm under Manduk's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Manduk is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
