Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between nef nef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
nef throws a right and a left that Rockwell avoids nicely.
Rockwell takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
nef looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
nef with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rockwell has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Rockwell tries to clinch but nef is having none of it.
nef rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rockwell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
nef dodges the punch combination from Rockwell.
Rockwell dives in and grabs nef's left leg, looking for a takedown. nef pushes down on Rockwell's head and hops out.
nef throws a front kick that sends Rockwell stumbling back into the cage.
nef throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rockwell's head.

and Rockwell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in nef's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
nef is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

nef is looking for a triangle here but Rockwell uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Rockwell cracks nef with an elbow. That is naaassty.
nef tries to buck Rockwell off but Rockwell is having none of it.
nef tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

nef just trying to survive but Rockwell is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rockwell is riding his opponent, not letting nef buck him off.
Rockwell controlling well, preventing nef from escaping the position.

Rockwell slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

You can see the frustration on nef's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rockwell tries to get the hooks in deep but nef pushed the leg off.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
nef throws a leg kick that misses.
nef looks to land a left hand but Rockwell moved out of range nicely.
nef shoots in for a takedown but Rockwell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
nef throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rockwell shoots in for a double leg but nef sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
nef tries to bum rush Rockwell with a series of wild strikes but Rockwell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

nef throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rockwell counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rockwell.
nef is looking to stand back up but Rockwell counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by nef.
Rockwell is looking for a kimura but nef is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rockwell to get the leverage.
nef is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rockwell lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rockwell wants to work for an arm triangle but nef is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
nef tries to roll over but Rockwell keeps him under control.
Rockwell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but nef does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
nef displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rockwell.
nef leaves Rockwell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
nef nef has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Rockwell.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
nef throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rockwell counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for nef!

Rockwell doesn't have the hooks in and nef manages to turn into his guard.
Rockwell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. nef defends it easily.
Rockwell is trying to control the position but nef postures up.
nef decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rockwell, up you get!
nef gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
nef is pressed up against the cage. Rockwell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag nef down to the mat. nef avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Rockwell.
nef connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rockwell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. nef tries to avoid it but Rockwell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag nef to the ground. nef escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
nef throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Rockwell's head.
Rockwell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Rockwell is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! nef is forced to tap! Great finish!
