Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khun Kasem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My time is NOW!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Khun Kasem!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasem closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rodriguez circles away.
Kasem tries to close the distance and clinch but Rodriguez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kasem wants to clinch up but Rodriguez keeps it at a distance.
Kasem fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kasem moves into the clinch.
Kasem is trying to break the clinch but Rodriguez is controlling him.
Kasem throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rodriguez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kasem avoids it.
Kasem stops a takedown attempt from Rodriguez.
Kasem pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriguez wants to control from the top but Kasem keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez thows a big elbow that misses.
Rodriguez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kasem manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rodriguez has Kasem in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rodriguez wants to sweep here but Kasem controlling him for the moment.
Kasem wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.

Rodriguez has his foot on Kasem's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kasem works his way back into a safe position though.
Rodriguez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rodriguez is looking for a triangle but Kasem pushes his legs off easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kasem wants to get up but he can't break Rodriguez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kasem moves in looking to clinch but Rodriguez pushes him off.
Rodriguez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kasem.
Kasem tries to clinch but Rodriguez is having none of it.
Rodriguez gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rodriguez in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Rodriguez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kasem, who protects the arm well.
Rodriguez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rodriguez tries for a kimura but Kasem is defending well.

Kasem is not content to let Rodriguez control the position.
Rodriguez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kasem has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rodriguez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kasem has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rodriguez but great work by Kasem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodriguez is looking for a sweep.
Kasem is trying to get an arm triangle but Rodriguez is defending well.
Rodriguez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kasem's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kasem trying to control from half guard but Rodriguez is working away.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rodriguez is working hard here to advance position.

Erwin Rodriguez dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Rodriguez tries for a takedown but Kasem sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kasem tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kasem wants to clinch.
Rodriguez feints and then cracks Kasem's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kasem down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez moves into range and clinches up with Kasem.
Rodriguez drags the fight down to the ground.
Rodriguez looking for a sweep. Not yet Rodriguez, not yet.

Rodriguez is pulling down on Kasem's head. It's preventing any offense from Kasem, at least for the moment.
Kasem trying to control the position from guard on top but Rodriguez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rodriguez looking for a sweep. Not yet Rodriguez, not yet.
Rodriguez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kasem's guard.
Rodriguez has gone for a leg lock! Kasem slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rodriguez's guard.
Kasem trying to control but Rodriguez is working from the bottom.

Kasem passes into half guard.
Rodriguez is refusing to be controlled, as Kasem sits in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rodriguez wants to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
Erwin Rodriguez showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Rodriguez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
