Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jay Cutler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcel Dettmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dettmann has chosen Marcel Dettmann - Kernel as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcel Dettmann!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cutler avoids the body shot from Dettmann.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dettmann. Cutler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dettmann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cutler fails with a takedown attempt.
Dettmann shoots for a takedown but Cutler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Cutler doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Dettmann counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dettmann is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cutler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dettmann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dettmann stands and throws Cutler's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Cutler gets back to half guard.
Dettmann is trying to control. Cutler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dettmann passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cutler!

Cutler is squirming around, avoiding Dettmann's attempts to control the action.

Dettmann goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cutler turns into him and now he's in Dettmann's guard.

Cutler is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cutler looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dettmann is doing well to control the position and prevent Cutler from advancing to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcel Dettmann dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Dettmann moves in looking to clinch but Cutler pushes him off.

so Cutler counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cutler drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dettmann manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cutler has Dettmann in his guard.

Dettmann content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Cutler has locked up a guillotine! Cutler's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Dettmann is holding on here and Cutler must be using up a lot of energy. Dettmann has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Cutler gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
