Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dzevad Poturak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poturak has chosen Janičar as his entrance music. The key to victory for Joe Clark has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Clark! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dzevad Poturak! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poturak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Poturak is working for a guillotine from mount but Clark frees his head quite easily.

Poturak wants to control the pace but Clark is squirming around nicely. Clark tries to hold on but Poturak pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Poturak has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clark is working away from the top position though. Poturak wants to improve his position but Clark is controlling well.

But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Poturak, into his guard. Poturak can't keep his opponent in guard - Clark advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Poturak actively working from the bottom here. Poturak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Clark pulls his head out easily. Poturak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Clark stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Clark tries to pass the half guard into mount. Poturak knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Poturak is looking for a sweep. Clark is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Clark throws a combination. Poturak tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Poturak shoots in looking for a takedown. Clark tries to sprawl out of it but Poturak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Clark lands with an overhand left. Clark throws out a loose jab but Poturak uses good head movement to avoid it. Poturak misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Joe Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dzevad Poturak. Poturak fails with a takedown attempt. Clark lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Poturak takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Clark lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Clark clinches. Clark lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Clark scores with a nice hook to the head. Poturak is trying to drag Clark to the mat but Clark just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Clark leaning his opponent against the cage. Joe Clark clearly takes that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That will dishearten Poturak somewhat. Clark looks to score with a jab to the body but Poturak is just out of range. Clark scores with the left hand. Poturak knows he should have avoided that one. Clark tries to clinch up but Poturak circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Poturak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Clark swivels and escapes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Poturak. Joe Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dzevad Poturak. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Poturak is defended easily by Clark.

Clark throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Poturak has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Poturak there as he acknowledges the shot. Clark throws a leg kick that misses. A punch combination from Clark misses. Clark looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Poturak takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Clark uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Poturak.

Clark is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Clark throws a series of strikes that have Poturak backpedaling.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
