Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacob Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Perosche! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Williams working the ground and pound from side control. Williams scores with punches from side control. Perosche manages to work his way to half guard, despite Williams's best efforts. Perosche tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Perosche trying to control but Williams postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perosche tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg. Williams thows a huge punch but Perosche dodges it nicely.

Williams thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams is working for a submission of some sort.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Williams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Williams scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Perosche moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Williams preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams is in close to Perosche's body, working some short punches and elbows. Perosche is looking for a triangle but Williams pushes his legs off easily.
Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Williams throws a big right hand that misses. Williams postures up in Perosche's guard and throws a big left but Perosche blocks it. Williams missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Perosche bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard. Williams is wriggling around but Perosche manages to pass to half guard.

Perosche is bucking up trying to escape but Williams cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Williams connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Williams is landing with some decent strikes but Perosche is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A nice elbow there by Williams. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Perosche looking for a sweep. Not yet Perosche, not yet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Williams's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Perosche looking for a sweep. Not yet Perosche, not yet. Perosche is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Williams is in close to Perosche's body, working some short punches and elbows. Williams is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Perosche is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Perosche has escaped and now he's on top! Williams wriggles free and stands up.

Perosche makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Perosche. Perosche looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Perosche working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Perosche looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Perosche tries to bum rush Williams with a series of wild strikes but Williams uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Williams dives in and grabs Perosche's left leg, looking for a takedown. Perosche pushes down on Williams's head and hops out. Perosche lands a nice looking body shot.

Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Williams grinds an elbow into Perosche's temple. Perosche is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Williams off and has taken his back! Perosche has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Williams covering up well under a barage of strikes. Perosche takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Perosche sneaks back into half guard. Williams with the ground and pound but Perosche uses the opportunity to regain guard. Williams lands a couple of digs. Williams cracks Perosche with a solid left hand. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perosche is on top in guard.
Perosche wanted to stand there but Williams had control of the position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Williams manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Perosche works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Perosche wants to sweep here but Williams controlling him for the moment. Mark Perosche has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Williams scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Jacob Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williams stands up over Perosche, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Jacob Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
