The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ackeroffer.
Ackeroffer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ackeroffer throws a sloppy head kick and Thompson moves out of range easily.
Thompson drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ackeroffer wants to sweep here but Thompson controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Thompson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ackeroffer is keeping the position for now.
Ackeroffer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thompson is one step ahead there.
Ackeroffer has his hands on Thompson's head, controlling the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ackeroffer is on top in guard.

Thompson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Ackeroffer doesn't defend quickly enough and Thompson has managed to lock this one up! Can Ackeroffer escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Thompson on a fantastic submission victory.
