The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
zlo wants to clinch.
Ogawa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches zlo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Ogawa avoids the strikes from the bottom by zlo.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ogawa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, zlo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ogawa but great work by zlo.
Ogawa is looking for a sweep.
zlo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ogawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ogawa tries to buck zlo off but zlo is having none of it.
zlo tries to advance to mount but Ogawa instead regains half guard.
zlo wants to take a breather but Ogawa is having none of it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ogawa manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

zlo looking to improve position, pressing down on Ogawa's thigh with his hand. Ogawa seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is zlo paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! zlo's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Ogawa picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
