Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jean Baptiste (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Petreski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baptiste comes to the cage accompanied by Rodrigo y Gabriela - Orion Cover. Petreski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Had to Kill a Lot of People. Vlad Petreski will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Petreski!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baptiste fails with a takedown attempt.

Baptiste shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Baptiste has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Baptiste wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Petreski, who protects the arm well.

Petreski takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Baptiste connects with a nice short shot to Petreski's temple.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Baptiste lands a nice short elbow.

Petreski is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Baptiste scores with a couple of nice shots.

Baptiste takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Petreski trying to hold on to Baptiste's head to control him but Baptiste postures up.
Petreski is looking for a sweep. Baptiste is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Baptiste is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Baptiste is breathing heavily.

Baptiste stops Petreski from getting back to his feet.

Baptiste escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Petreski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Petreski wants to control from the top but Baptiste keeps moving.
Petreski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Baptiste is refusing to be controlled, as Petreski sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petreski throwing shots but Baptiste is blocking nicely.
Petreski is looking to take a break and control but Baptiste is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Petreski is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Baptiste is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Petreski pulls his head out easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Baptiste is in trouble now - Petreski has advanced to mount!

A close second round but Vlad Petreski will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Petreski moves into the clinch successfully.

Petreski has hold of one of Baptiste's legs. Baptiste is fighting the takedown attempt but Petreski gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Petreski trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Baptiste manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Petreski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baptiste can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Baptiste breaks from Petreski's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Petreski takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A big strike lands for Baptiste! That's really hurt Petreski and he's turned his back - Baptiste keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Baptiste jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
