Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blake Coulton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JC Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith has closed the distance and engaged Coulton in a clinch.
Smith is pressed up against the cage. Coulton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Smith down to the mat. Smith avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Coulton shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Coulton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith pulls Coulton in close to prevent any damage.
Coulton trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Coulton drops back looking for a leg! Smith is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smith manages to kick Coulton off! Coulton jumps back into Smith's guard.

Coulton wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Smith as Coulton shoots in.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Coulton is just out of range.
Coulton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Coulton persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blake Coulton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coulton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Coulton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coulton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Smith sprawls well initially but Coulton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Coulton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Coulton looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Smith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Coulton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round but I would say that Blake Coulton will probably get the nod.

Coulton tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.
