The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zucchini drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zucchini forces his way into half guard.
Zucchini passes to side control.
Zucchini tries for a kimura but Van Holmanzk is defending well.

Van Holmanzk is bucking up trying to escape but Zucchini cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Van Holmanzk avoids a series of strikes thrown by Zucchini.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Zucchini is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Van Holmanzk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Zucchini unloads with some shots from mount but Van Holmanzk bucks and avoids them well.
Van Holmanzk tries to lock up and control but Zucchini gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
