Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacek Piotrowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Piotrowski shows good takedown defense.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smith prevents a takedown attempt there.
Smith tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Smith pulls guard effortlessly.
Piotrowski looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Piotrowski is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Piotrowski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Piotrowski has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.

Smith is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smith throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Piotrowski was covering up waiting for the punch and Smith finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Smith gets to his feet. Piotrowski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Piotrowski, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Piotrowski against the cage but Piotrowski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith looks gassed!
Smith wants to slow Piotrowski down by chopping away at his legs.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Piotrowski tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Piotrowski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacek Piotrowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Smith.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Piotrowski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Piotrowski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Smith did well to prevent Piotrowski getting side control.

Smith tries to hold on but Piotrowski pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Piotrowski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacek Piotrowski will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Piotrowski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Smith to the mat! Smith manages to get full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Piotrowski is on top in guard.

and Piotrowski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Piotrowski seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Piotrowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Piotrowski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
