6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewadowski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Emelianenko shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Lewadowski checks a leg kick. Emelianenko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Emelianenko misses with a body kick. Emelianenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lewadowski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Emelianenko throws a body kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Emelianenko misses with a wild combination.
Emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lewadowski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Emelianenko misses with a series of wild punches.
Emelianenko looks gassed! Emelianenko moves in looking to clinch but Lewadowski pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko throws a sloppy head kick and Lewadowski moves out of range easily. Lewadowski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Emelianenko's half guard. Lewadowski content to control rather than advance. Lewadowski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lewadowski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Emelianenko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Lewadowski sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lewadowski seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Emelianenko for as long as he can get away with.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lewadowski moves to the back position. Lewadowski biding his time, controlling Emelianenko. Emelianenko wants to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. I would not like to be Emelianenko right now.

Lewadowski looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Lewadowski maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Emelianenko could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Lewadowski has cracked it and Emelianenko is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Lewadowski!
