Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ham Xu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akio Hideyoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akio Hideyoshi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ham Xu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akio Hideyoshi!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xu checks the leg kick.
Xu tries to move into range but Hideyoshi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Hideyoshi throws a right hand that Xu ducks under and follows up with a left that Xu also avoids with ease.

Xu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hideyoshi's guard.
Xu wants to pass the guard but Hideyoshi is keeping the position.
Xu stands up over Hideyoshi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hideyoshi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Xu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hideyoshi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Xu!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hideyoshi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Xu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hideyoshi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Xu clobbers Hideyoshi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hideyoshi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Xu paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Xu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hideyoshi sprawls well initially but Xu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Xu not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ham Xu will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
