Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ferris Bueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Almero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bueller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Circus Maximus - From Childhood's Hour . The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ferris Bueller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francis Almero!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bueller.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Almero digs a good hook to Bueller's body.
Bueller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Almero finds it's way round the side to connect with Bueller's head.
Almero avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bueller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Almero as he avoids it easily.
Almero lands a body shot.

Bueller closes the distance and clinches.
Almero lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Almero lands a nice shot to the body.
Almero is leaning against Bueller and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Almero scores with an uppercut up the middle.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Almero creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Almero breaks from the clinch.
Bueller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Bueller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Almero!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bueller throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Bueller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bueller looking to secure an arm triangle but Almero defends it well.

Bueller looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Bueller wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Almero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bueller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bueller throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bueller won't let Almero get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Bueller fails to take his opponent's back.
Almero wants to control but Bueller is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Almero tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Almero is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Bueller locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Almero is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ferris Bueller!
