Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sami Vasara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kitsune Tsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sami Vasara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kitsune Tsuki!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Vasara. No joy for Tsuki on that attempt.
Vasara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tsuki was well out of range. Poor timing from Vasara.
Tsuki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vasara missing with a left hand there. Tsuki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tsuki.
Tsuki lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Sami Vasara has been cut.
Tsuki takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Vasara lands with a hook. Tsuki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Tsuki throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tsuki shoots for a takedown but Vasara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sami Vasara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kitsune Tsuki.

Tsuki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vasara to the mat! Vasara manages to get full guard.
Vasara has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vasara is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Vasara is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tsuki sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vasara's guard.
Tsuki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Tsuki not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Tsuki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tsuki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Tsuki is trying to work for a kimura but Vasara is defending well.
Tsuki looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tsuki wants to control but Vasara is keeping him busy.
Vasara is looking for a sweep. Tsuki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vasara scores with a jab to the jaw.
Vasara tries to clinch but Tsuki is having none of it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tsuki. Vasara does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vasara lands a really nice looking cross but Tsuki seems unphased.
Tsuki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sami Vasara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vasara fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tsuki on the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A punch lands to the side of Tsuki 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sami Vasara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Donk. Vasara catches Tsuki right on the button with a cross.


Tsuki is rocked!
Vasara drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Tsuki right on the button. Tsuki goes down! Vasara follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Vasara gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sami Vasara!
