Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feder Emeleanenkis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emeleanenkis has chosen And Then Comes Jason as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Feder Emeleanenkis!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emeleanenkis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Liddell sprawls well initially but Emeleanenkis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liddell looks like he's trying to stand up.

Liddell manages to escape and get back to his feet!
A right-left combo lands from Liddell.

Emeleanenkis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Liddell was covering up waiting for the punch and Emeleanenkis finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Liddell has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Emeleanenkis off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Liddell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Emeleanenkis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side.
Emeleanenkis shoots in for a takedown but Liddell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emeleanenkis checks a low kick from Liddell.
Liddell misses with a wild combination.
Liddell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Emeleanenkis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Liddell scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Emeleanenkis misses with a wild combination.
Liddell connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Emeleanenkis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Liddell.

Liddell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Liddell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Liddell uses the cage to get back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Liddell. Emeleanenkis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Emeleanenkis fails with a takedown attempt.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feder Emeleanenkis.
Liddell looks to land a left hand but Emeleanenkis moved out of range nicely.

and Emeleanenkis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Emeleanenkis wants to pass the guard but Liddell is keeping the position.

Emeleanenkis drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Liddell dives on top into guard.

Liddell avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Emeleanenkis throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Liddell escapes and throws Emeleanenkis's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Liddell throws a left and a right that both miss

and Emeleanenkis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Liddell won't be happy with that.
Liddell wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Emeleanenkis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Emeleanenkis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Emeleanenkis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Liddell, who protects the arm well.
Liddell wants to get back to his feet but Emeleanenkis drags him back down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Liddell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Emeleanenkis.
Emeleanenkis fails to land the takedown.
Liddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Feder Emeleanenkis will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Liddell gets caught flat footed, as Emeleanenkis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Liddell scores with a one two! Emeleanenkis had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Liddell bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Emeleanenkis's head backwards.
