Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between chok rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWLw05zmFjU. rivera is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, chok rivera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brock Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lesnar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. rivera is breathing heavily. rivera gets caught flat footed, as Lesnar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lesnar postures up in rivera's guard and throws a big left but rivera blocks it. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Lesnar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of rivera's head. Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. rivera swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as rivera works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lesnar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lesnar with a flurry of punches that miss. rivera working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar. Lesnar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lesnar rushes rivera and presses him up against the cage. Lesnar is trying to trip rivera. He has hold of a leg but rivera is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lesnar persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Lesnar stands up over rivera, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lesnar working the ground and pound. Lesnar creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Lesnar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Lesnar working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. rivera parries the strikes from Lesnar easily there. Lesnar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable rivera to escape.
Lesnar is working rivera over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar in side control, throwing shots but rivera defends. Lesnar cracks rivera with an elbow. That is naaassty. Lesnar decides to stand back up. Lesnar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. rivera did well to prevent Lesnar getting side control. rivera blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar throwing shots but rivera is blocking nicely. Lesnar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Lesnar tries to pass to full mount but rivera defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar looks to land a strike but rivera avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Lesnar throws and elbow that misses. rivera uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lesnar's guard. Nice move by rivera! Lesnar is looking to stand up but rivera isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lesnar scores a takedown into full mount! Lesnar lands with some strikes. Lesnar in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Lesnar is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But rivera has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from rivera! rivera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lesnar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. rivera drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lesnar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lesnar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lesnar! Lesnar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. rivera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. rivera takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Lesnar throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Lesnar is chipping away with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar working the head and body with strikes. Lesnar throws a strike aimed at the side of rivera's head but rivera avoids it well. Lesnar lands an elbow. Lesnar is putting a hurting on rivera here, landing some big shots from side control. rivera defending against the ground and pound. Lesnar with the ground and pound but rivera regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Lesnar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. rivera regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Lesnar. Lesnar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lesnar stands up and waves to rivera to follow him. Lesnar fails with a takedown attempt. rivera with a poor takedown and Lesnar counters by clinching up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Lesnar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with rivera but rivera pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice takedown defense from rivera. No joy for Lesnar on that attempt. rivera doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lesnar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lesnar. Lesnar prevents the takedown attempt.
rivera drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lesnar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for chok rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lesnar creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through rivera's defenses. rivera goes for a takedown attempt but Lesnar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lesnar instigates a clinch. Lesnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lesnar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from rivera. rivera with a lazy takedown attempt and Lesnar counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lesnar jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar wants to stand and escape but rivera is having none of it. rivera is standing up over Lesnar. Lesnar looks to escape but rivera dives into side control.
Lesnar pushes rivera away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, rivera gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. rivera is trying to get an arm triangle but Lesnar is defending well. Lesnar is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. rivera with a poor takedown and Lesnar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in rivera's guard. rivera is looking to stand up but Lesnar isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. rivera kicks Lesnar off and gets to his feet. rivera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lesnar tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
And that's the end of the fight! Brock Lesnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lesnar winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
