Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Tumapon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ko Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tumapon dodges the punch combination from Maeda.
Maeda throws a one two combo.
Maeda turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Tumapon pushes Maeda up against the cage in a clinch.
Tumapon tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tumapon slows down the pace here.

Tumapon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Maeda avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

A head kick from Maeda lands but Tumapon takes it in his stride.
Tumapon dives in and grabs Maeda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maeda pushes down on Tumapon's head and hops out.
Both fighters circling a little - Maeda finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Maeda stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maeda wants it to stay on the feet.
Tumapon is breathing heavily.
Tumapon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maeda doesn't manage to clinch there - Tumapon circles away.
Maeda throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Maeda fails in his attempt to clinch.

Maeda stuffs the takedown attempt from Tumapon. Tumapon gets slowly back to his feet.
Maeda misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Maeda.

Carlito Tumapon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tumapon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maeda tries for a takedown but Tumapon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maeda moves into the clinch.

Maeda wants to break free but Tumapon has control.
Maeda can't break the clinch.
Tumapon will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Maeda lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tumapon trying to hold on to Maeda's head to control him but Maeda postures up.
Maeda is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Tumapon tries to roll over but Maeda keeps him under control.
Maeda uses his free foot to push down on Tumapon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tumapon.

Maeda is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Maeda lands a front kick.
Maeda throws a nice outside leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Tumapon or perhaps it was just good defense by Maeda which made him look bad.
Tumapon takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Tumapon takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Tumapon takes a kick to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ko Maeda dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Maeda tries to clinch up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tumapon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maeda - the referee stops the clock and Tumapon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maeda. Tumapon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Maeda scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Tumapon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maeda defends it nicely.
Tumapon takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maeda tries to circle away but Tumapon has him pinned against the cage.
Maeda breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tumapon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Maeda finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Maeda thuds his shin into the meat of Tumapon's side.

Carlito Tumapon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tumapon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Maeda moves in looking to clinch but Tumapon pushes him off.
Maeda looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Maeda lets loose with a powerful body kick. Tumapon will feel that in the morning.
Nice sprawl there from Tumapon as Maeda shoots in.
Tumapon takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Maeda counters with a one-two to the body.
Maeda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maeda throws a push kick but Tumapon slaps the foot to one side.
Tumapon shoots in for a double leg but Maeda sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Maeda shoots in and drives through. Tumapon sprawls well.
Tumapon closes the distance and clinches up with Maeda, looking for a takedown. Tumapon pushes Maeda against the cage but Maeda circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Tumapon. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Tumapon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maeda but Maeda pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tumapon throws a right hand that Maeda ducks under and follows up with a left that Maeda also avoids with ease.
Maeda fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tumapon looks to clinch
and Maeda counters with a stiff right hand.
Maeda lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A head kick misses from Maeda.
Maeda bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Maeda defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tumapon.
Maeda has taken the fight to the clinch.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tumapon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Maeda.
Maeda looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Tumapon breaks the clinch.
A head kick misses from Maeda.
Tumapon dives in and grabs Maeda's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maeda pushes down on Tumapon's head and hops out.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Maeda - that will leave a mark!
Tumapon shoots in and drives through. Maeda sprawls well.
Maeda lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tumapon tries to close the distance and clinch but Maeda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Maeda counters with a head kick. That will keep Tumapon thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Maeda throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ko Maeda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Tumapon misses with a takedown
and Maeda counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tumapon is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Tumapon fails to land the takedown.
Tumapon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maeda can pounce on him.
Tumapon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tumapon is looking to stall here but Maeda recovers full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Tumapon wants to control from the top but Maeda keeps moving.
Maeda is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Tumapon trying to control the position from guard on top but Maeda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Maeda wants to stand but Tumapon is controlling the position.
Maeda manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Maeda bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tumapon.
Tumapon tries to move to mount but Maeda blocks the move with his legs.
Maeda is not content to let Tumapon control the position.
Maeda is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Maeda is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Tumapon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tumapon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Maeda prevents Tumapon from improving position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Carlito Tumapon showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Maeda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
