Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Totoy Bato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Waddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Totoy Bato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Waddy! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waddy displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bato. Nice takedown defense from Waddy. No joy for Bato on that attempt. Excellent takedown into side control there by Waddy. Bato tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Waddy is chipping away with strikes.
Waddy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Waddy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Waddy in side control, throwing shots but Bato defends. Bato struggling a bit here. Waddy is trying to get an arm triangle but Bato is defending well. Waddy working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waddy fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Bato is trying to get back to his feet. Waddy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bato has escaped the position, nice work there. Bato can't do much from the bottom here. Waddy is trying to get an arm triangle but Bato is defending well. Waddy looks gassed! Bato is trying to get back to his feet. Waddy working the ground and pound but Bato is defending the strikes. The ground and pound from Waddy seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Bato is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Waddy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Waddy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Waddy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bato manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bato is trying to control. Waddy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Waddy gets back to full guard.
Bato trying to control but Waddy is working from the bottom. Bato wants to pass the guard but Waddy is keeping the position. Waddy wants to sweep but no luck. Bato trying to control but Waddy is working from the bottom. Bato knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waddy on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Waddy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Waddy lands in his opponent's guard. Waddy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bato works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Waddy looking to pass the guard. Waddy preventing the sweep. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Waddy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Waddy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Waddy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bato's head. Bato pulls Waddy in close to prevent any damage. Waddy throwing strikes from guard but Bato blocks nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bato avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Waddy. Waddy landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Waddy prevents Bato from escaping the position. Waddy is trying to get an arm triangle but Bato is defending well. An elbow from Waddy crashes against the mat.
Bato is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Waddy lands a nice short elbow. Waddy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Waddy is looking for a kimura here.
Bato gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Waddy dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bato shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Waddy moves into full guard.

Waddy keeping moving, preventing Bato from controlling successfully. Waddy wants to sweep here but Bato controlling him for the moment. Waddy has his hands on Bato's head, controlling the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Waddy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bato defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waddy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bato trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bato wants to control from the top but Waddy keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Waddy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Waddy is trying to work for a kimura but Bato is defending well.

Waddy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Waddy passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bato keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bato is looking to improve his position.
Waddy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bato is just riding it out for now. Waddy eventually gives up the hold. Waddy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waddy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Bato wants to improve his position but Waddy is controlling well.

Waddy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Waddy is pressing down on Bato's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bato is holding on for now. Bato keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Nice strikes from Waddy there. Bato is looking to improve his position.
Waddy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Waddy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Waddy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bato with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Bato tries to get to full guard but Waddy has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Waddy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Bato gets caught flat footed, as Waddy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Waddy tries to free his leg and advance position but Bato is retaining full guard. Waddy passes Bato's left leg - he's now in half guard. Waddy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Waddy wants to free his trapped foot but Bato is holding on for dear life with his legs. Waddy passes to full mount! Waddy is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Bato is forced to tap! Great finish!
