Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Frederick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xuan Binh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Matthew Frederick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Xuan Binh! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Frederick. Frederick tries to clinch but Binh is having none of it. Frederick wants to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Frederick looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Frederick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Binh shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Frederick as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frederick avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Binh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Binh moves into the clinch. Frederick blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Binh tries to land knees in the clinch but Frederick avoids the damage to the body. Binh trying to land knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Frederick tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Binh throws an elbow but misses. Frederick on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Binh lands an elbow just above Frederick 's eye. Frederick managing to block the knees to the body from Binh.

Frederick using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Binh has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Binh is trying to trip Frederick. He has hold of a leg but Frederick is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Binh persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Frederick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Frederick avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Frederick can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Binh controls the pace. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Binh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frederick swivels though and keeps the full guard. Frederick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Binh throwing strikes from guard but Frederick blocks nicely. Binh controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Frederick keeping full guard, as Binh tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Frederick gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Binh to score an easy takedown into full guard. Binh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xuan Binh dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Binh pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Binh misses with a kick to the body.

Binh has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Frederick regains guard immediately. Binh controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Binh is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Binh is looking to work some ground and pound but Frederick has wrist control. Binh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Binh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frederick swivels though and keeps the full guard. Binh showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Binh looking to pass the guard. Frederick avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Binh tries to free his leg and advance position but Frederick is retaining full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Binh will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Frederick tries to clinch up and Binh counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Binh wants the takedown. Frederick is fighting it off but Binh persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Frederick's guard against the ropes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Binh looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Binh landing with the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Xuan Binh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Frederick tries to clinch but Binh moves away and Binh counters with a big head kick but Frederick shrugs it off. Frederick takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Xuan Binh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Frederick closes the distance but Binh moves to the side and Binh counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Binh with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Binh is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Frederick is defending well for now. Binh turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Binh slows the pace down. Binh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Binh is chipping away with strikes.
Frederick tries to escape but Binh is in control. Binh throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Frederick works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Binh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Binh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Binh perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Binh moves into full mount! Frederick won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Binh scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Frederick?
Binh controlling from the full mount. Xuan Binh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Binh fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Frederick has left one of his arms exposed and Binh doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Frederick screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
