Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heel Jando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulsen Grickrod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Jando might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Strokes - Someday. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grickrod avoids the head kick by Jando.
Grickrod shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jando sprawls well. Jando wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grickrod gets slowly back to his feet.

Grickrod not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jando wants to control from the top but Grickrod keeps moving.
Grickrod is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Grickrod had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jando defends it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Grickrod is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Grickrod has his foot on Jando's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jando works his way back into a safe position though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jando, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
