Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Learmont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaeso Vanderlee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Learmont comes into the arena with Snoop Dogg and Young Jeezy - Wannabes blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Learmont! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kaeso Vanderlee! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Learmont tries to clinch up. Vanderlee throws a series of punches but Learmont moves out of range. Learmont is looking to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Learmont looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Learmont is looking to clinch but Vanderlee is avoiding it.

and Vanderlee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vanderlee. Learmont has his foot on Vanderlee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vanderlee works his way back into a safe position though. Vanderlee won't allow Learmont to sweep him here. Vanderlee trying to control the position from guard on top but Learmont is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Learmont is looking to stand up but Vanderlee isn't so interested in that idea. Learmont throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vanderlee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Learmont preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vanderlee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Learmont misses with a takedown attempt and Vanderlee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Learmont pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Learmont tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Vanderlee counter with a right hand. Learmont looks to clinch and Vanderlee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Learmont shoots and misses and Vanderlee counters with a left and a right that stings Learmont. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Learmont. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Learmont walks into a left hand. Learmont tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Vanderlee counters with a left and a right that stings Learmont. Learmont gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Vanderlee counter with a right hand. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Learmont with a poor takedown and Vanderlee counters with a good, hard body kick but Learmont shrugs it off. Learmont is breathing heavily. Learmont misses with a takedown and Vanderlee counters with a nice double leg into guard. Vanderlee thows a big elbow that misses. Learmont being controlled here, momentarily. Vanderlee is looking to work some ground and pound but Learmont has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vanderlee looking to sit in guard and control but Learmont gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Vanderlee has his foot on Learmont's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Learmont works his way back into a safe position though. Learmont drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vanderlee dives on top into guard. Learmont keeping moving, preventing Vanderlee from controlling successfully. Vanderlee works a leg free and moves into half guard. Vanderlee not doing much here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vanderlee lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vanderlee winds up and cracks Learmont with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Vanderlee with the ground and pound but Learmont uses the opportunity to regain guard. Vanderlee distracts Learmont with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vanderlee tries to free his leg and advance position but Learmont is retaining full guard. Vanderlee lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Vanderlee wants to control from the top but Learmont keeps moving. Vanderlee throwing strikes from guard but Learmont blocks nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vanderlee is looking to work some ground and pound but Learmont has wrist control. Vanderlee advances position into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaeso Vanderlee dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A head kick by Learmont misses and Vanderlee counters with a left and a right that stings Learmont. Vanderlee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Learmont pushes Vanderlee off and gets back to his feet. Learmont throws a sloppy head kick and Vanderlee counters with a nice body shot. Vanderlee circles away from the clinch attempt and Vanderlee counters with a flying knee. Nice. Vanderlee tests Learmont's chin there with a solid looking shot. Learmont with a poor takedown and Vanderlee counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Learmont looks to clinch and Vanderlee counters with a stiff right hand. Learmont throws a sloppy head kick and Vanderlee counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Learmont's guard now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vanderlee works over Learmont with some ground and pound from guard. Learmont is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vanderlee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kaeso Vanderlee has got the better of the ground game so far. Learmont is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vanderlee defends well. Vanderlee loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Learmont bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vanderlee's guard. Vanderlee punching to the body, from the bottom. Vanderlee controls Learmont momentarily but Learmont frees himself. Vanderlee wants to sweep here but Learmont controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Learmont drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vanderlee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vanderlee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vanderlee! Vanderlee staying calm. Vanderlee is working Learmont over with some ground and pound from side control. Vanderlee wants to control but Learmont is keeping him busy. Learmont is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vanderlee working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Vanderlee throws an elbow but Learmont slips to the side and avoids it well. Learmont might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vanderlee wants to control from the top but Learmont keeps moving. Vanderlee postures up and lands a big shot to Learmont's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaeso Vanderlee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A shot to the body from Learmont misses enabling Vanderlee to counter with a crisp jab. Learmont shoots and misses and Vanderlee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Vanderlee missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Vanderlee working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vanderlee throwing shots but Learmont is blocking nicely. Learmont has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vanderlee is working away from the top position though. Vanderlee tries to pass to full mount but Learmont defends it. Learmont is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's one minute gone in the round. Vanderlee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Learmont has a hand on Vanderlee's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Vanderlee takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Vanderlee cracks Learmont with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Vanderlee putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Learmont is looking to improve his position but Vanderlee isn't that keen on the idea. Vanderlee landing strikes, looking to finish! Vanderlee lands a nice shot to the head. Vanderlee throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Learmont because Vanderlee loaded up on that one. Vanderlee thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Vanderlee lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Vanderlee with a couple of short strikes. Learmont is looking to get to half guard. Vanderlee has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vanderlee looking to control but Learmont is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vanderlee scoring with strikes but Learmont is staying in there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vanderlee pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Learmont taking shots to the head. Vanderlee postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Learmont looks a forlorn figure.
Vanderlee swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Learmont is now in Vanderlee's guard. A big mistake from Vanderlee there, giving up the dominant position! Vanderlee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Vanderlee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Learmont throws a strike but Vanderlee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Vanderlee thows a big elbow that misses. Kaeso Vanderlee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vanderlee scoring with some ground and pound. Vanderlee trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Learmont wants to control but Vanderlee passes easily into half guard.
Vanderlee is figuring out what he wants to do next. Learmont wants to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kaeso Vanderlee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vanderlee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
