Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jasper Quon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joseph Stalin! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Quon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Quon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Stalin with a poor takedown and Quon counters by clinching up. Quon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Quon wants to pass to mount but Stalin is defending the position. Stalin is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quon is thwarting Stalin's attempts to control the position. Quon throws a strike but Stalin avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stalin is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stalin shoots and misses and Quon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stalin trying to control here.
Quon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stalin on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stalin knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Stalin is concentrating on defense, preventing Quon from advancing position. Stalin wants to control but Quon is keeping busy and won't allow it. Quon stalling away here and it's allowed Stalin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Quon trying to control but Stalin is working from the bottom. Quon controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quon wants to control from the top but Stalin keeps moving. Stalin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stalin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Quon preventing the sweep. Stalin has a closed guard, preventing Quon from standing up. Jasper Quon dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Quon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stalin is pressing down on Quon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Stalin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Quon manages to get himself to full guard.
Stalin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Stalin drops back looking for a leg! Quon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quon manages to kick Stalin off! Stalin jumps back into Quon's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stalin misses with a takedown and Quon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stalin is breathing heavily. Quon working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Stalin's thigh. Stalin counters though and makes it back to full guard. Stalin is trying to control the position but Quon postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quon trying to control but Stalin is working from the bottom. Stalin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quon's guard. Quon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stalin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Stalin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Quon is keeping the position for now. Quon controls Stalin momentarily but Stalin frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Quon looking for a sweep. Not yet Quon, not yet. Stalin trying to control but Quon is working from the bottom. Quon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Stalin tries to free his leg and advance position but Quon is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Quon clinches. Stalin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Quon pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stalin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Quon. Jasper Quon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stalin has his takedown stuffed and Quon counters with a single leg into guard. Stalin didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jasper Quon dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Quon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Stalin is trying to control Quon's posture but Quon avoids it. Stalin tries to bench press Quon off him but Quon keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quon taking a break here but Stalin is having none of it and regains half guard. Quon is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quon looking to sit in guard and control but Stalin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Quon working a defensive guard but Stalin passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stalin trying to mount his opponent but Quon defends it. Stalin passes to side control. Stalin working away. Jasper Quon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stalin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stalin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Stalin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Quon has escaped the position, nice work there. Stalin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stalin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quon keeps working. Quon on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Quon tries to get out of the position. Stalin tries for a kimura but Quon is defending well. Stalin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Quon tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Quon wants to control but Stalin postures up. Stalin moves into full mount! Quon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Quon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Quon is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stalin scoring with strikes but Quon is staying in there. Joseph Stalin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jasper Quon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Stalin throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Joseph Stalin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Quon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
