PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silvio Riscatelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stringer Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riscatelli comes into the arena with Speak Softly Love blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Silvio Riscatelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stringer Bell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riscatelli shoots in looking for a takedown. Bell tries to sprawl out of it but Riscatelli keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Riscatelli misses with an uppercut. Bell saw that one coming.
Bell moves out of range of the strikes.
Riscatelli throws a body punch but Bell moves out of range.
Silvio Riscatelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Riscatelli works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Riscatelli uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bell.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Riscatelli.
Bell takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Riscatelli bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bell seems a little lost for a moment, as Riscatelli dominates the positioning.
Riscatelli creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bell sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Riscatelli working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Bell parries the strikes from Riscatelli easily there. Riscatelli is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bell to escape.
Bell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Riscatelli wants to control but Bell is keeping him busy.

Bell is trying to improve his position.
Riscatelli misses with the ground and pound.
Bell is looking to regain half guard here but Riscatelli keeps moving and retains side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Riscatelli tries to score with a low kick but Bell moves his leg out of the way.
A jab lands there for Riscatelli.
Riscatelli misses with an uppercut. Bell saw that one coming.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Riscatelli connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bell. Bell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Riscatelli scores with a punch to the head.
Riscatelli looks for a takedown but Bell sprawls well.
Riscatelli throws a leg kick but Bell moved away.
Bell displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Riscatelli throws out the jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Bell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Riscatelli misses with a looping left.
Riscatelli throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Riscatelli misses with a leg kick.
Riscatelli pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Riscatelli is defended easily by Bell.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Silvio Riscatelli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riscatelli throws a leg kick that misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Riscatelli misses the target.
Some bone on bone action there as Bell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Bell connects with a body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Riscatelli.
Riscatelli will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bell throws a shot to the body.
Riscatelli is breathing heavily.
Riscatelli takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Riscatelli takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Stringer Bell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Riscatelli takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Bell sends Riscatelli crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bell is motioning to the referee to let Riscatelli up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


It looks like Silvio Riscatelli has been cut.
Bell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Riscatelli. Riscatelli circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Riscatelli misses with a double jab.
Bell jabs at Riscatelli's body.
Bell is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Riscatelli rather than just go for the knockout.

Bell misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Riscatelli.
Nice straight punches there by Bell. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bell.

Bell drops Riscatelli with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Riscatelli looks back up at him and smiles so Bell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Riscatelli is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Riscatelli is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Bell doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Riscatelli crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Riscatelli's bad books for that mishap!
