Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Seeper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seeper is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "Cemetary Gates - Pantera. Michael Seeper is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jermaine Howard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Seeper! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howard jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Howard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Seeper shoots for a takedown but Howard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Seeper pulls Howard into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Howard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Howard trying to control the position from guard on top but Seeper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Howard tries to free his leg and advance position but Seeper is retaining full guard. Seeper keeping moving, preventing Howard from controlling successfully. Howard forces his way into half guard. Seeper gets full guard. Howard trying to control the position from guard on top but Seeper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Seeper tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Howard shoots and misses and Seeper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Seeper. Howard is breathing heavily. Seeper preventing the sweep. Seeper trying to control but Howard is working from the bottom. Seeper working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Howard's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Howard looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Howard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Seeper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Seeper trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Seeper stands and throws Howard's legs to the side, diving into side control. Howard is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Seeper's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Seeper is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Howard trying to control but Seeper postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seeper prevents Howard from improving his position. Seeper is thwarting Howard's attempts to control the position. Howard is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Seeper is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Howard pushes Seeper off looking to stand but Seeper dives back in and keeps control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Seeper shoots for a double leg takedown but Howard sprawls well. He's pushed Seeper's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Howard scoring well with a low kick there.
Howard throws a head kick that misses. Howard gets caught flat footed, as Seeper shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howard trying to keep a closed guard but Seeper is proving a slippery customer.
Seeper wants to pass the guard but Howard is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seeper trying to control but Howard is working from the bottom. Howard is trying to control the position but Seeper postures up. Seeper wants to control from the top but Howard keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Howard shoots and misses and Seeper counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermaine Howard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howard has hold of one of Seeper's legs. Seeper is fighting the takedown attempt but Howard gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Howard trying to control the position from guard on top but Seeper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Seeper is looking to stand up but Howard isn't so interested in that idea. Howard is fighting to break Seeper's control of his arms but Seeper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Michael Seeper will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Howard tries to land a front kick but Seeper steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Howard pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Howard tries for a takedown but Seeper circles away easily and Seeper counters with a single leg into guard. Howard didn't expect that. Seeper looking to pass the guard. Howard looking to control.
Seeper wants to stand but Howard has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Seeper is working Howard over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Seeper is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Seeper slips nicely into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Howard is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seeper performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Howard trying to control but Seeper postures up.
Seeper is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Howard is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Seeper pulls his head out easily. Seeper looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Howard manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Seeper postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Seeper passes into half guard. Howard trying to hold on to Seeper's head to control him but Seeper postures up.
Howard is looking to improve his position.
Seeper missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Howard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Seeper's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Seeper's back! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Howard keeps control of the position as Seeper tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Howard patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Seeper grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Howard trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Howard is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Howard is looking to control Seeper but Seeper is wriggling around and keeping busy. Howard missing with strikes from the back. Seeper is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Good control from Howard. Howard wants to control but Seeper is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Howard biding his time, controlling Seeper. Seeper wants to escape the position.
Howard tries to get the hooks in deep but Seeper pushed the leg off. Howard not allowing Seeper to control his hands. Howard is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Seeper with him. Seeper is trying to defend but Howard has an arm under the chin now! Seeper grimaces and is forced to tap out!
