Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the ring accompanied by Collie Buddz - Come Around. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenji Okabe! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Okabe!
Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Okabe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Okabe stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. Okabe controls from within his opponent's guard. Okabe looking to pass the guard. Jones working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Okabe has passed into half guard!
Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Okabe pulls his head out easily. Jones works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Okabe passes into side control.
Jones tries to improve position but can't. Jones is working hard here to advance position. Okabe tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Okabe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jones is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Okabe blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones moves away from the strike by Okabe. Jones takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Okabe closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Okabe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Jones keeping moving, preventing Okabe from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenji Okabe dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A looping hook to the body misses from Okabe. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet. Jones throws a nice head kick!
Jones stuns Okabe with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A big left from Okabe misses. Jones throws a right hand that Okabe ducks under and follows up with a left that Okabe also avoids with ease. Okabe blocks a low kick nicely. Okabe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Okabe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Okabe to score an easy takedown into full guard. Okabe preventing the sweep. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Okabe defends easily.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Okabe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Okabe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Okabe slips nicely into half guard. Jones manages to get to full guard.
Okabe is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones stopping the sweep attempt from Okabe. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Okabe manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Okabe in his guard. Jones isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Okabe stacks Jones on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Okabe! Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Okabe off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Jones dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Jones gets the takedown into side control. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Okabe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Okabe is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Okabe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Okabe regains half guard. Okabe trying to control but Jones postures up.
Jones wants to free his trapped foot but Okabe is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jones stops Okabe from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Okabe. Okabe connects with a jab. Okabe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Okabe counters with a takedown into side control. Jones gets back to half guard. Okabe uses his free foot to push down on Jones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Okabe manages to capitalize on a mistake by Jones to take his back! Okabe wants to control but Jones is keeping busy. Okabe is hanging on to Jones's back as he tries to escape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Okabe thows a body shot but no joy. Jones walks into a left hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Okabe misses with a hook. Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Okabe. Okabe misses with a looping right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenji Okabe dominated that fourth round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Okabe with a poor takedown and Jones counters with a one-two to the body. Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Okabe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Okabe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jones, into his guard. Okabe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Okabe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jones tries to bench press Okabe off him but Okabe keeps the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones manages to get back to half guard. Jones actively working from the bottom here. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Jones looking for a kimura from the bottom but Okabe passes into side control! Jones is looking for a sweep. Jones is not content to let Okabe control the position. Jones tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Okabe presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Kenji Okabe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Okabe looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Marcus Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Okabe prevents Jones from getting the reversal. Okabe controlling the position easily from mount. Jones is working to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well Okabe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
