The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Drake as Mir shoots in. Mir avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Drake shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mir counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Drake! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir has hold of Drake's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Drake manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Drake is trying to escape the mount.
Mir fails to move to back control. Mir is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Mir!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Frankestein Mir!
