Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between chuito torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stokes tries for a takedown but torres sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stokes.
Stokes tries to clinch there but torres circles away.
Stokes wants to clinch up but torres keeps it at a distance.
Stokes has a takedown stuffed.

Horrible takedown by torres or perhaps it was just good defense by Stokes which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stokes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stokes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

Stokes is just content to waste time from the top position. torres takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stokes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stokes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stokes slaps away a takedown attempt from torres, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and torres counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
torres content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
torres passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stokes!
torres takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
