Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuki Yasuda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, MAD MARVIN!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MARVIN gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
MARVIN dodges the punch combination from Yasuda.
Yasuda displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like MAD MARVIN has been cut.
MARVIN has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from MARVIN there as he acknowledges the shot.
Yasuda looks to land a combination but MARVIN avoids it well.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yasuda, as that shot connected.
Yasuda defends well against a solid takedown attempt from MARVIN.
MARVIN walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Yasuda leaves MARVIN with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Yasuda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before MARVIN has time to react.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yasuda connects with a single shot there.
Yasuda lands the left hand.
Yasuda misses with a two punch combination.
Yasuda scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Yasuda feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends MARVIN sprawling to the canvas! MARVIN rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Yasuda finish him?!
MARVIN is rocked!
Yasuda is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
MARVIN looks gassed!
Yasuda works MARVIN's body with a nice hook.
MARVIN shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yasuda sprawls well. Yasuda wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MARVIN gets slowly back to his feet.
Kazuki Yasuda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of MAD MARVIN.
Yasuda lands a hook that stumbles MARVIN back into the cage. Yasuda follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping MARVIN to the canvas! Yasuda pounces and lands several unanswered shots - MARVIN has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Kazuki Yasuda!
