Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zac Ryder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chumbo Banks! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Banks wants it to stay on the feet. Ryder fails to land the takedown. Ryder lands with a kick to the temple. Banks shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Chumbo Banks has been cut. Ryder misses with an uppercut. Ryder shoots in for a takedown but Banks shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zac Ryder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryder shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banks but Banks pushes him off and we're back to square one. Banks misses with a double jab.
Ryder takes a jab right on the kisser.
Banks clobbers Ryder with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Ryder falls off balance throwing a combination
and Banks counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ryder fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Banks throws a big shot that misses. Banks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryder moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ryder shoots and misses and Banks counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Ryder has his takedown stuffed and Banks counters with a series of strikes. Ryder will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ryder. Ryder with a poor takedown letting Banks counter with a right hand. Ryder wants to clinch enabling Banks to counter with a crisp jab. Ryder with a lazy takedown attempt and Banks cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A punch combination from Ryder misses. Ryder with a lazy takedown attempt and Banks counters with a lovely straight right hand! Banks works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ryder throws a right and a left that Banks avoids nicely. A combination from Banks does no damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A leg kick checked by Ryder. Banks fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ryder on the side of the head. Ryder slips a jab and a cross from Banks.
Ryder with a poor takedown and Banks counters with a straight right hand. Banks might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Ryder fails with the takedown and Banks counters with a left to the body. Chumbo Banks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ryder doesn't succeed with the takedown and Banks counters with a nice body shot. Ryder is breathing heavily. Banks lands with a nice body punch. Banks is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ryder had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks throws a hook but Ryder blocks it. Banks throws a nice looking combination but Ryder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Banks throws a right and a left that both miss. Banks will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ryder takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Banks looks to score with a jab to the body but Ryder is just out of range. Ryder misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ryder. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chumbo Banks dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chumbo Banks's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Ryder shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Banks to counter with a crisp jab. Zac Ryder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ryder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Banks counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ryder shoots and misses letting Banks counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zac Ryder. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ryder misses with a takedown attempt letting Banks counter with a right hand. Ryder dodges the punch combination from Banks.
Banks takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ryder pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryder wants to clinch up but Banks keeps it at a distance. Ryder throws a body kick the misses and Banks connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ryder gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ryder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Banks scores with a jab to the head.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ryder. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Banks stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ryder moves out of range of the strikes. Ryder shoots and misses and Banks counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ryder thinking. Chumbo Banks seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ryder fails with the takedown and Banks counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks is looking to slow Ryder down with leg kicks. Ryder takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Banks goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Banks thows a left - swing and a miss! Banks throws a body punch but Ryder moves out of range. Ryder tries for a takedown but Banks circles away easily and Banks counters with a straight right hand. Banks lands a jab to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big right from Banks misses. Ryder with a lazy takedown attempt and Banks counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Banks lands a jab to the nose. Ryder misses with a takedown and Ryder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Banks lands a right hook to the body.
Banks displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Ryder looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Banks lands with a right hand. Ryder doesn't succeed with the takedown and Banks counters with a stiff right hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks throws a right and a left that Ryder avoids nicely. Ryder swings away with a body shot that misses
and Banks counters with a nice body shot. Banks falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ryder counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ryder. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Banks wriggles free and stands up. Banks swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Banks digs a good body shot into Ryder's ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chumbo Banks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chumbo Banks's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Ryder counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Banks's guard now. Ryder trying to control but Banks is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryder stops Banks from standing up. Banks managing to control the position. Banks looking for a sweep. Not yet Banks, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks pushes Ryder off and gets back to his feet.
A shot to the body from Banks misses and Ryder counters with a one-two to the body. Ryder misses with a takedown and Banks counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ryder fails with the takedown and Ryder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ryder doesn't succeed with the takedown and Banks counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zac Ryder. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Banks thows a body shot but no joy. Ryder is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Banks counters with a nice uppercut. Banks moves out of range of the leg kick from Ryder. Banks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryder manages to avoid it. Banks looks to score with a jab to the body but Ryder is just out of range. Ryder ducks under a wild hook from Banks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks misses with a combination
so Ryder counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Banks wants to stand and escape but Ryder is having none of it. Ryder missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Banks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Banks is on top in guard.
Banks advances to half guard. Banks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Banks sitting and controlling from the half guard. Ryder gets back to full guard.
Banks stands up from Ryder's guard - Banks perhaps looking for a knockout. Banks scores with a jab to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Zac Ryder showed his dominance in that final round. I think Banks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
