Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ashfield wants to take a breather but Peppa is having none of it.

Peppa is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ashfield is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Peppa to the mat. Peppa regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ashfield has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peppa is proving hard to escape from.

Peppa wants to sweep here but Ashfield controlling him for the moment.

Ashfield drops back looking for a leg! Peppa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Peppa manages to kick Ashfield off! Ashfield jumps back into Peppa's guard.

Peppa pushes Ashfield away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ashfield gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Peppa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Ashfield stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Ashfield closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Peppa to the mat! Peppa manages to get full guard.

Ashfield drives through and clinches with Peppa against the cage.
Ashfield turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ashfield manages to end up in side control.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Peppa holds on and takes a little breather.
Ashfield gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Ashfield throws a head kick that Peppa semi-blocks.
Peppa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ashfield counters with a takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The strikes coming from Ashfield are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Ashfield decides to stand back up. Ashfield steps back and let's Peppa get back to his feet.
Nice defenses there by Peppa.
No joy there for Peppa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Peppa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Peppa clinches but Ashfield breaks the clinch
and Ashfield moves into the clinch.
Peppa is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ashfield working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peppa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peppa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ashfield fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Peppa sprawls well initially but Ashfield persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ashfield seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ashfield, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
